FACT
FACT
It is a fact that the Earth is round. The definition of a fact is something that is true or something that has occurred or has been proven correct. An example of a fact is that the world is round.
The fact table contains business facts (or measures), and foreign keys which refer to candidate keys (normally primary keys) in the dimension tables. Contrary to facttables, dimension tables contain descriptive attributes (or fields) that are typically textual fields (or discrete numbers that behave like text).
