JAMA MASJID DELHI

Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built the Jama Masjid between 1644 and 1656. It was constructed by more than 5000 workers. It was originally called Masjid-i- mosque present in India. This mosque is built by the Mughal Emperor Saha Jahan in the year 1656 AD. Built with the sandstone and white marble, The Jama Masjid, is a unique combination of Hindu and Islamic architecture.
If you are traveling from a Yellow line, the nearest station would be Chawri Bazar. Take a rickshaw or walk. If you are traveling through Violet line, the nearest metro would be Jama Masjid metro station (starting from 28th May 2017). Jama Masjid would be just outside the metro station.
