Winds. Effects of flooding. Floods can have devastating consequences and can have effects on the economy, environment, and people. Economic. During floods(especially flash floods), roads, bridges, farms, houses, and automobiles are destroyed.
When water inundates land that is normally dry, this is called a flood. Floods can be caused by a number of processes, but the dominant cause in Australia is rainfall. Floods are a natural process, but mankind's activities affect flooding.
