WHEN THE  TAJ MAHAL IS CLOSED?




Daytime: sunrise to sunset every day (06:00 am to 06:30 pm) except Friday. Every Friday the Taj Mahal is closed and only accessible in the afternoon for Muslims to attend prayers. Nighttime: 08:30 pm to 12:30 am.

Visitors are requested not to make noise inside the mausoleum. Above mentioned list of prohibited items along with mobile phones are banned for night viewing of theTaj Mahal. Video camera, extra batteries are prohibited though still camera is permitted after the security check.
