It's very easy. Woman is the singular noun. Women is the plural noun. You use it in exactly the same way you'd use any other singular or plural noun; it' s just that women is an irregular plural form, as it's not *womans

This time in your life when your body is changing is called puberty. For girls, puberty usually starts between the ages of 9 and 16. Sometimes, it can start as early as 6 or 7. Puberty for boys usually starts between the ages of 13 and 15, but may start as early as age 9.

.Woman is fine though when describing a female above the age of 18, as long as it's not in a chauvinistic or demeaning way. And woman is likely preferred by most females that are above the age of 18. However, it's probably more common forwomen above 25 to be called woman, and under 25 to be called girl.
